Bridesmaid and Maid of Honor dresses

I've been contemplating if I should post here what the dresses looks like that I've picked? What do you think? I can't remember if I told you that I bought 2 fabric color swatches. The color is called "Grape" which is a deep purple and the samples will be in chiffon and satin.

I'm thinking I'll get 8 of these and 8 of the white. I think there will be 16 tables so this along with flowers might work

Joey is out doing boy's night. He kept asking if I wanted to come with and I'm sure he wouldn't mind but I'm sure his boys would! hahaha So, I got a diet coke, Twix and the movie Country Strong

So far it's pretty good, kinda sad though I have to say. Joey and I rode our bikes to the beach today. We had packed a picnic and all. It was really nice but after only a little bit at the beach it got so sandy there were sand storms! I had sand everywhere! We decided to leave and riding back home I could barely see and sand kept blowing in my eyes so I had to stop every few minutes to try to clear my eyes. We ended up walking the last bit home because I couldn't see! It was crazy windy.

Funeral and Bicycles

So, I haven't written much lately because I've been so exhausted... We drove down south last Friday night to pick up Joey's brother Dennis in LA then off to my mom's house in Newport Beach. Went to bed after midnight and the morning after Joey and Dennis drove down to San Diego to see their cousin graduate College. After that Joey drove Dennis to the airport and then he drove back up to pick me up. We finished packing at my mom's house and then we were on the road heading to San Francisco (San Rafael). We were in bed and I think I fell asleep just after 2:10am. We had to get up at 6am so we didn't get much sleep. We got ready and then it was time for the funeral for Joey's aunt Nancy who passed away at the age of 42.

The funeral was very beautiful even though it was difficult to watch his two young cousins and uncle saying good by to their mom/wife :( After the funeral we went to a chinese restaurant for buffet lunch. It was pretty good but not as good as some of the chinese food I've had :)

After this I took some medicine because my back was hurting pretty good and it totally knocked me out so I slept for a few hours. While I was sleeping Joey's parents - Elizabeth and Doug took Dennis to the airport as he did not have Monday off. Once they came back the four of us went to another chinese restaurant for some dinner - much yummier than lunch. I loooove duck! It's sooo yummie :)

Monday morning we slept in a little and then got on the road as we needed to return the rental car by 6pm. After that we went and bought me my dream straightening iron! I'm sooo excited! It's the one I posted pics of previously - I mean I posted pics of what my hair looked like after the guy used it on me.

Also, Joey and I bought bikes. I'm so in love in mine and I named her Pebbles :) Her are some pics:

I would have added more pics but for some reason the email on my phone is not working (I took the pics with my phone) so I can't send an email to myself. Ugh... I"m so frustrated right now I don't think I can type more today

Hello Peeps

First of, I am very excited because I bought a bubblegum pink cruiser (bicycle) with 3 gears this weekend from craigslist! For only $40!!! It has some rust etc but we're going to fix it up. I rode it home from where we bought it and it's a workout but so much fun! I haven't been on a bike since I lived in Sweden which is too long ago to mention b/c it makes me feel old. hahaha

So, Saturday night I went over to Linda's house. It was Jess (who later left), Linda, Kelly, and Stefanie (my friend from work) We all had a great time at Linda's house and then we went to EOS. Here are some pics:

The funeral for Aunt Nancy will be held this Sunday up in San Fran. Joey and I are leaving Friday after work to go down to my mom's and we'll pick up Dennis (his younger brother) on the way. Dennis lives in LA. After we've picked him up we'll continue down to Mom's house. Saturday Dennis and Joey are driving down to San Diego for their cousin's graduation. I'm not going with b/c it's too much driving for my back. After that's done with on Sat afternoon Dennis will fly up to San Fran and Joey will drive back up to pick me up and then we'll drive up to San Francisco. It's a hellish long drive (probably 8 hrs) so I'll be munching on my vicodin hehehe

I know I go back and forth with happy things then sad then happy again and I'm sorry if I offend but that is not my intention just my brain.

Anyway, I can't remember if I told you that I got a giftcard from my boss - $100 VISA gift card. I'm so excited b/c this means I can get my hair did!!! I'll have to take a pic tomorrow of my roots and then another after picture on Thursday so you can see the difference. THEN my amazing older sister sent me some cash to cheer me up and this means that I can go buy that straightening iron I've been wanting desperately for about a month now. AND ssshhhhh botox.... I'll do pics for that too so you guys can see.

Yes, some of you know how horribly terrified I am of shots, but I'm getting something out of this as so kindly my friend put it hahhaha I have also decided to bite the bullet and have my blood test done for my doctor. She has asked me for a year and a half now! She needs to know that everything is ok with my body in the sense of cholesterol and such.

Ok, going to watch a movie for 20 then go to sleep

Very sad

This was supposed to be a fun week and weekend but... Joey and I just found out this morning that his aunt passed away. She was in her 40s and left behind two kids. One 13 and the other 17(I think). It's strange going from a high thinking about a year from now we will be married but their mom passed away after our happy day. It's like a slap in the face. It's not acceptable.

We're not sure if we have to go up there tomorrow or what's going to happen.

Lazy

Ok, so lately I've been lazy about blogging. Not much has happened - at least that I can talk about here... Details to follow :)

Yesterday May 10th was my one year anniversary working for Tempest. :) It went by unrealistically fast. It's really strange how I perceive time here vs. in Sweden. Here time just flies and all of a sudden I'm 8 years older! At home, in Sweden time goes by really slow. I'm not sure if it's the weather here that makes time go by so fast and that everything is open so much longer? Either way - it's really strange

On Friday my boss is taking me and a couple of other ppl out to Happy Hr. We are celebrating my one year and that I've been doing well with AT&T. We're also celebrating this other girl at work as she's been doing really well with her account. Joey was invited but I forgot that he has this golf tournament with his work. He's playing with a bunch of realtors I think. Either way - I'm hoping he'll be done in time so he can come have a drink with us to celebrate.

Saturday day we have some errands to run. I want to go to Borders and see if I can buy some more books as I'm finishing the ones I have way too fast. :) I've always been an avid reader! Love my books :) Then Saturday night is girls night out!!! Pre party at Linda's house - whohoooo!!! I need to make sure I get my dress to the dry cleaners before then!

I sent an email today to our photographer to set up a meeting with her to sign the contract and give her a deposit. We also need to send a deposit to the DJ.

Ok peeps, other than that - nothing new. Oh, wait! My friend Clay brought by his english (?) terrier yesterday. He's still just a puppy and sooo cute! His name is Obi  hhhahha

Sorry sorry sorry!

I've been traveling for work which is why I haven't been able to blog. BUT I took pictures so you all get to see. So, Saturday I went to my friend Nicole's house so she could try out wedding makeup on me. Once she was finished I loved it! She'll be the makeup artist for the wedding :) After that I had to rush home because Joey and I had another catering tasting. Here's the makeup and my outfit for the evening:

Joey thought the makeup was too much - but in pics you need more than what you would normally wear so... :)

After I got ready Joey and I went to an actual wedding - that's where Pure Joy catering will give you a picnic basket with food and you then take it with you. Here's what we got:

A bottle of wine (really YUM!) Ceviche, guacamole and chips. The other app was goat cheese and water melon

We went up to the rose garden by the Mission Church to enjoy the view and just relax. Very romantic

I preferred the watermelon and goat cheese over the ceviche and guac and Joey was the other way around so that worked out well

We got some kind of chicken roulade and pasta (I honestly didn't really care for either so Joey ate most of it while I stole back the wine hahhaha)

Turns out it was Prom season and all the kids where up here taking pictures

The Sunday after the lovely picnic I flew to Dallas, Texas with my boss and here's what we had for lunch on Monday at Hard 8

My tray is the one on the bottom hahaha I only got 5 baby back ribs which were YUM! The tray above is my boss's tray hahaha

Our hotel was linked with a mall so when you were in the lobby of the hotel you could just walk straight out into the mall. This is what i discovered!!! An ice skating rink IN THE MALL!!! How insane is that?!

This was lunch the next day - Burger Island. It tasted like a Swedish Sibylla burger and I LOVED IT! Definitely going back there the next time I'm in Dallas that's for sure

Was looking at this menu in one of the airports and realized they serve a Quesadila with Chihuchua in it?!?!?! I'm not really much for eating dog.. Hahahaha It's a mexican kind of cheese I guess but what a strange name for it, huh?

Once in Tulsa, Oklahoma where our customers are we went to lunch at Fat Guys burger bar. Another place where the burgers tasted like Sibylla burgers! How weird and I totally wished that we had that here in SB b/c I miss it :)

We stopped by for about 5 minutes to check out the Tulsa Drillers which play minor league baseball. I called a home run and then BAM! Home run!!! hahahaha

I barely got any sleep at all last week and I'm still exhausted - even though the time change is only 2 hrs. I guess it messes with me more than I realize. This past weekend we didn't do much but relax. Which I honestly could use some more of. Next weekend all hell is breaking lose! Chix only pre-party at Linda's house and then we're all going down town. I'll see if I dare post any of those pictures! hahahahaha
