Wow... it's been a while since I've been on here... I'm now married...and I have a broken left wrist! hhaha it happened on the night of the wedding at a club b/c I decided we HAD to continue to party. UGH... oh well... it's not very easy to type as I have to do it all with my right hand so my posts will probably be short. I haven't been able to work out with the cast so I have been taking walks with Amy or Linda to keep moving. Both ladies have new little bundles of joy! Amy had her little son, Henry, about a month before Linda who had a girl named Lilja.

Switch to Swedish?

Hey y'all!

Again, I've  been lagging with posts... I know... I have been and am so focused on my competition. I have 9 days left and it is EXTREMELY hard. I'm constantly tired and exhausted. I hate eating what I'm eating and it's a daily struggle BUT I'm doing it. I'm doing it for myself and for Twila (coworker who passed away unexpectedly).

I've been thinking about switching to Swedish... I wonder how that would fly... I guess google can translate for you that do not speak/read Swedish. Could be fun to switch it up a bit :)

We've had *literally* a shit ton go wrong with our invitations that we ordered from paper-source.com. They are a fantastic store but they just opened in SB and are having some growing pains. I'm just hoping we'll still be able to get everything in time as we do have to assemble and as well as go to the post office to weigh it out and then slap on stamps. I always thought I wanted to get the bride stamps but as of now I couldn't give a flying F$%# what stamp is on there as long as they just go out! hahaha

I would like to finally announce the pregnancy of my little sister. She's due on March 19th and I'm beyond excited for her!!! I just wish I could be there to hold her hand. We've been talking on Skype a bit just so that I can feel somewhat included in the whole process. She doesn't know what she's having as it's not as common in Sweden to find out before you give birth. Strange but that's the way it is. I CANNOT WAIT TO FIND OUT!!! As soon as I hear I want to go crazy with baby clothes hahahaha I'm so going to be the best auntie EVAH!


Ok, it's 9:45pm and I need to go brush my teeth and then go to sleep. Exhausted and my body needs rest... I have tons of pics I need to post! I have makeup done and I have wedding shoes that are HOT! I'll try to post some pics this weekend...

Wedding registry and Super Bowl

Today, Joey and I woke up somewhat early to eat our pre-workout meal and then 2 hrs later we went our separate ways to work out. I think there was only one other person at the gym when I got there hahah I got my cardio over and done with and then we headed out to Macy's to register for our wedding. I have to say - it is definitely confusing to try to figure out what you need and also to keep separate what you want! hahah

Also, it was suuuuch a nice day today! I was only wearing a little beach dress and I wasn't cold at all. Oh, we did take some pictures yesterday from the wine tasting that I'll have to post later. I think we have all the wines down and can check that off the list now. PHEW! I just want to get all the details finalized because it's getting to be way too stressful. And on top of me trying to focus on work and my competition - I'm exhausted.

Anyway, after Macy's we headed out to Goleta to get some stuff at Costco. We also looked at pricing of vodka out there. It's ok prices but we are looking into having the Wine Grotto in Montecito cater the bar so that we don't have to think about it too much. Lots easier. After Costco we went home so I could drop off Joey so he could watch super bowl while I headed to the tanning salon to beef up my color a bit (didn't do much as I'm still pasty as hell haha).

Now I'm stuck on the couch waiting to see who's gonna win Super Bowl 2012. I'm hoping for the Patriots since the niners didn't make it :( lame...

Oh, well. I can't believe how booked I am all the time! Next weekend Amy is due with her son and it's Linda's baby shower and we have to continue to register. Right now I can't think further than that so... I'm going to take a nap - yes, I know it's 6:45pm but I'm still going to take a nap! Naps are awesome!

My secret love of tanning

I have to admit... I LOVE tanning beds! I know they are sooo horrible for you and I haven't been in a tanning bed in years. Until now. I'm only tanning from Feb-May12th hhaha It's for my competition and the wedding. It's just so nice and relaxing to lay there, be surrounded by light and warmth and know that you're getting a tan in the process! hahha

Training is going really good :) Tomorrow it's hair cut time and then wine tasting which I'm excited about. I'm hoping we can line up all the wines and try them next to each other that way we can give them scores right of the bat. Stef is also coming with to help out as she she knows more about wine than Joey and I do.

I can't believe I only have 36 days left today... It's gone by faster than I thought and it's been a huge struggle but I'm doing it and I'm getting thru it. That I have to say feels pretty amazing.

One of my bridesmaids, Amy is due with her baby boy on Feb 11th and it's so exciting! It's her first baby and I think she's a bit nervous as it looks like she up for a c-section. Yikes! I'm hoping all goes well for her.

Time to watch a movie!

Tattoo?!

Hi y'all!

So, I knew I wanted to get a tattoo before the wedding but couldn't quite muster up the courage to actually do it. Then I realized that I have purchased 2 months of unlimited tanning at different tanning salons (so one month at one place and one month at another) and you can't tan right after you get a tattoo so...  I just went for it a few weeks ago. It hurt like hell but I absolutely LOVE it! I got it done at Golden Eagle Tattoo here in DT SB.

As far as the wedding, Joey and I have now registered at Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn. We are going to register at Macy's this weekend. Other than that we are still working on finalizing the rentals as well as the ceiling swag and both quotes are EXPENSIVE... *sigh* not sure where all the cash is supposed to come from!

I'm a bit all over the place b/c I haven't slept well lately and I now have to work from 7-5 Mo, Tu, Thu, Fri. Wed are 6:30-4 and then go work out right after then eat and try to get everything else done. PHEW!

I have 37 days until my bikini competition and I just received my clear stripper heels. hahaha I have to walk around in them to try to soften them a bit. Last night I put on my bikini and my heels and for the first time I think ever I felt amazing about my body! It was a great feeling!!! The not being able to eat candy is still a struggle for me and I really miss it. I can't wait for the competition to get here so I can eat and drink again! hahaha

This weekend I'm going to go with Linda to get a hair cut and then wine tasting for our wedding wine. I'm not supposed to drink so I'm only going to have VERY LITTLE. Just enough to taste to see if I/we like it

Ok, I'm going to rest for a little then off to the gym... again.... I'll post some before and after pictures soon. :)

Bikini Competition Countdown

So... it's getting closer and closer to competition date... 45 days left now. Crazy! I can't believe I've been doing this since Nov 7th! So far I'm fluctuating between 115.5-116. Everyone says I look super skinny but it's difficult to see as I'm just hoping to see my six pack soon and I won't be satisfied until I do! :)

My mom was up here last weekend so help me with wedding details as well as celebrate her birthday a little late. We had such a good time and it was nice to be able to hang out with her without her constantly talking about her store onquestyle.com and I think she liked it too because she truly got to relax a bit even if we ran around meeting vendors etc.

We also went to my seamstress who's been holding the dress for me. I put it on and it was huge on me! Yay! When I first got it after purchasing it it was so tight around my rib cage I couldn't even breathe! HA! It feels great! I am not going back to the seamstress until after my competition when my weight has stabilized a bit. She's also going to help me with a veil and to find a hair comb. I want it to look vintage like with rhinestones - NO pearls. She has a major job to do yet she's not charging crazy expensive which is nice. Plus - she said she would throw in the veil for free! Although... I have my eye on this one that has rhinestones on it... it's $144 dollars so it's not cheap! Perhaps I'll talk my mom into it hahaha We'll see...

I just purchased some clear heels (stripper shoes) for my competition and since I'm not sure what size I need I had to buy them now so that I have time to get them as well as return them in case they do not fit. I have been scheduled to start training my walk in about 3 weeks.

Life is crazy busy right now and we are booked pretty much every single weekend up until the wedding! It's insane... This Saturday is my friend Amy's baby shower and right after that I'm going to get my hair highlighted. And I probably have to go in in the morning to get my cardio done.

Sunday we are meeting a videographer as well as we need to register at a store

Next weekend I am going with my friend Linda to get a haircut, style, blowdry and shine treatment at another salon in town. Online deal :) After that Joey and I need to drive up to the wine country to sip some wine (I'm not supposed to drink b/c of my competition so I will literally just dip my tongue in it) with my friend Stef for the wedding wine. We need to get that picked right now.

Sunday we need to register at a couple of other stores...

Weekend after that is Linda's baby shower (baby boom going on here!) and I can't think what else I'm so exhausted hahha BUT don't get me wrong - I am having the time of my  life doing all this!

I love my family and friends so much and I feel so loved in return

Better late than never

Sorry... haven't been on here in forever. I've been so focused on the bikini training and trying to not go absolutely insane hahaha The eating is definitely kicking my butt and it's so hard. I've been at it since Nov 7th now and I have to do this until March 10 when the competition is. I do have tiny highlights such as the bikini. Ha! When I opened the box the bottom part of the bikini was so tiny i collapsed in a fit of giggles!

Here's what I get to eat every single day with no change....

Breakfast:
1 cup of greek plain non fat yogurt
1/8 cup of oats
cinnamon

Mid AM snack:
4 oz of protein
15 almonds

Lunch:
4 oz of protein
lettuce
1/2 tablespoon olive oil

Pre-workout:
4 oz protein
2 Slices Ezekiel bread with mustard OR
1 cup of rice

Post-workout:
4 oz protein
1 cup rice

And that's it... That is 1260 calories/day. This is all based on my initial weight and height as well as what I am working towards. This might not work for someone else my height and weight because they might be looking for another result. My stomach is starting to look somewhat decent and so does my legs. I want more definition in my arms and I think for that I need to get rid of some more weight.

Back to the wedding; all the bridesmaids have their dresses and now also their shoes! They are going to look absolutely stunning which is what I want next to me on my day :) Well, I know that anyone that comes to our wedding will be hot because we only have very good looking friends and family ;)

My mom is coming up here the weekend of the 21st of January to help me finalize plans for the wedding. We are meeting with the rental people to decide who to go with as well as going back to the Greek Orthodox Church to check it out again and meet with the people who do ceiling swag.

Our DJ is going to be on WE TV tomorrow at 9PM on David Tutera's show "My Fair Wedding" I am so excited and cannot wait to see his work :)
